How To Style: The Statement Vest Worn Three Ways

Written by: Zanita Whittington

A statement vest can be a wardrobe essential. Welcome to Vest & Style 101. Be bold!

In case you missed it - we’re pretty stern advocates here at Zanita Studio for all things creative, career, and confidence. We love a story about a small business making it in a big world and it’s one of the reasons we love, support, and stand behind Tictail, which is a platform for emerging and independent brands to showcase goods in a global marketplace.

I found this incredible vest by MaxJenny at Tictail Market here in NYC (90 Orchard St) and it’s such a fabulous statement piece yet so versatile. I wanted to share with you all three on-trend ways of styling it. I’ve been working on a special project as of late, which has been taking so much of my time. I promise it’s going to be worth it! I’m sad I haven’t had as much of a chance to style and shoot my looks - and I’ve missed being able to share them with you all. I’ve decided I need to go the extra mile when it comes to my fashion content this point forth! I don’t wanna let you guys down. Would LOVE to know which of these looks is your fave?!

Casual: MaxJenny! Vest, Closed Denim Jeans and Leather Bag, Topshop Sunglasses, Sincerely Jules Tee and Backyard White Sneakers.

Dressed Up/Winter: MaxJenny! Vest, Storets Shirt, Karen Millen Trousers and Nadya Hassan Heels

Feminine: MaxJenny! Vest, Furla handbag, vintage belt and Senso Heels… You might wanna add an extra safety pin on the bottom of this one so it doesn’t blow open 😉

I have a couple weeks of travel coming up, namely to Sweden, and I hope to pick up my pace once I return. My problem is that without a photographer to shoot me, it’s very hard to be spontaneous about creating content. I can use a self timer/remote, but I find it takes three times as long, running back and forth to check the framing and focus. Now our team is working on this very BIG new project, I need to preserve every minute for efficiency. Good things to come!!

Thanks so much for having patience with me - I miss you all!
