I travelled to Milan Fashion Week alone, which didn’t seem like a big deal at first but presented its own challenges.
Firstly, I didn’t have anyone with me to shoot my looks; all the street style photographers I love are already generally being pushed to their limits (it’s a tough gig!) and couldn’t really take on another hire. Luckily, I found the very talented Jeong Ilkwon who shared some pics of me on Instagram and gratefully sent me these to share with you. If I don’t post my looks - did I even wear them???? Haha!
I didn’t have Bri with me to keep me sane with her witty sartorial commentary and wicked planning skills, so I kept my schedule minimal - giving me time to bask in the highlights, which included a front row seat at Fendi (a first!) and the epically beautiful Missoni, Sportmax, and Tods shows. Look forward to sharing my runway edits for those!
I’m currently shacked up in Paris, awaiting the arrival of Susan and Gustav. We’re here working on a very special project (so annoying to say I know) and the weekend will be filled with planning and shooting…so no shows here. Following that, I’m headed to Munich and then Stockholm and finally, back to New York around the 12th. I’m burnt on travelling so I’m super keen to be back in NYC and feeling settled all over again! Is missing 9-5 really a thing?
Finally, something really fun - two nights ago I attended an event on a boat for Jean Paul Gaultier’s fragrance and they had a room set up with three ACTUAL tattoo artists available to tattoo anyone who wanted it. We had to choose from a page of predetermined designs and I jumped at the chance! You can see what I chose on my Instagram…I think it looks super cute. There’s nothing more exciting than being spontaneous. It’s why the best nights out are the ones you don’t plan - they just happen.
Hope you like these looks! The first is for the Sportmax show - and the second was for Fendi. Zx
