4 Best Brunches in Sydney

If you’re a Sydneysider, you’ll know that brunching is like a religion. We take our eggs VERY seriously - and it pays off - because in my experience, Sydney boasts probably the most diverse brunching culture around.

I’ve been burnt more than enough times trying to trust various sites online - where to go, what to see - where to eat the best brunch!? It’s why I’ve partnered with Marc’s and their new app, Marc’s StreetView. A space for our local recommendations, mapped out so you can find them - you just hashtag #marcstreetview and your picture is loaded into a gallery collated by location, where you can find your favourite and get directions from where you are standing.It makes for an amazing local search tool! As part of my first contribution to Marcs StreetView, I’ve put together my best brunches in Sydney. Hope you enjoy!

Kicking off my Top Brunches in Sydney is Jed’s in Bondi. This could be my number one favourite brunch place in Sydney because the menu is just so inspiring. A huge array of options to have inspired from cuisines ranging from Japanese through to Mexican, the flavours are fresh and surprising. My pick is always the Zapatista eggs, avo, tortilla, green salsa, avocado, cheese… I’m salivating.

My number two brunch spot is Bread and Circus. Communal style eating in a light filled and airy pastel coloured space. Only the freshest and best ingredients - gives a whole new meaning to simple scrambled eggs with tomato and spinach (and you can even have truffle!). This time I chose the porridge with caramelised banana, toasted coconut, blueberry, pistacio and mint - AND a dollop of clotted cream. Can you EVEN?!

Harry’s Bondi is probably the most glam brunch locale on my list, these dishes present like gourmet works of art. Coffee is to die for here along with the quinoa and fetta fritters. This time I chose the crispy rolled egg with black beans, avocado and bacon (instead of the usual chorizo). Love breaking apart that eggs and watching it melt all over the plate!

My final favourite brunch place in Sydney is an old faithful, Two Ant’s in Elizabeth Bay has wonderful fresh food - but best of all, the most friendly service in the area - almost like you’re a member of the gorgeous Italian family who run the place. There’s plenty of classics here - and I love the ‘Two Ant’s Toast’ with mashed avocado and fetta on rye, with a side of roasted tomato. The coffee comes out quickly and tastes great.
