The Leather Bomber Uniform

Written by: Zanita Whittington

I don’t really have a uniform for work - but if I did - this could be it.

I’ve always been most comfortable dressing like a boy - ever since my days as a kid on the farm where I ceremoniously dubbed myself a tomboy. Of course, lighting fires and scrubbing around the cattle yards, who could be much else! Today I wouldn’t really suggest I’m dressing like a boy - rather, this is a ‘relaxed casual androgynous look’. Either way - let’s stop talking labels.

I love leather bomber jackets! This one is from Opening Ceremony, a gift from Uber (of all places!) while I was in New York in February. The quality of this jacket is beyond, the leather is incredibly heavy, as it the wool in the body. I know this is going to be a timeless and steadfast piece in my wardrobe for many seasons, a true ‘investment’ fashion item.

Are you guys getting tired of my Chloe Drew yet? Cos I’m not, so it’s really too bad. I’d love to buy a new bag soon but it’s one of those things I’m so casual about. Even as my business and success grows, I’m not so flippant about dropping thousands on designer anything. Maybe I’ll wait till there’s a good sale on! One day I’m going to buy a Chanel handbag - it’ll be a rite of passage. Maybe if I ever reach a million on instagram!

I’m going to be flying somewhere fabulous on Friday… don’t you love it when bloggers are secretive? I’ve got a busy few days ahead so I’m sorry if my content is a bit all over the place. As always - grateful for you patience!
