You can understand why glancing over these images brings a tear to my eye right? How incredibly luck can one girl get?! And not only that - the looking at these image makes me feel so eternally grateful to have discovered my passion, photography. If it weren’t for the fact I simply love to take pictures so damn much - I wouldn’t be able to capture each of these moments.
These days it’s so hard to live in the moment, when there’s so many digital distractions… and me being someone who’s made a career out of those distractions! Being present is often a struggle for me. A true social media junkie. It is a kind of peace though, to reflect and edit my images. To gave into them and recall the beauty of that moment, sometimes even more appreciated in the memory than perhaps while it’s happening - guess that’s a bit sad, but when you’re working its harder to soak it all in.
Some of my favourite highlights over this past year?
- Shooting with my Mum in my hometown for Sportscraft, those images are particularly special.
- Seeing Marrakech for the very first time - also my first visit to the African continent!
- An insane rushed journey to Paris (more on this very soon!).
- Seeing the majestic city of Prague for the first time - perhaps my new favourite European city? Like a fairytale!
- Seeing proper snow and skiing for the first time in 13 years…and realising I suck at it!
- Watching the sun set at the Top of the Rock in NYC with some of the people I love most.
- Visiting the flawlessly flat and glossy Swedish Lakes around Dalarna… that’s my idea of Paradise!!
Also pictured here…. Stockholm, Ibiza, Nice, Sydney, Broome! And I’ll be bringing in the new year in Fiji! BONANZA!! #lucky #grateful x
